Well Guys just to let you know we have made it to Japan and more importantly to our hotel after a bit of frantic map pointing !

Hotel is great which we will need to savour as I don't believe the rest of our blogs will read the same , it is in a large tower and our room is on the 31st floor so we have some great views of the city.

We caught up on a sleep on arrival then headed out for something to eat , luckily for us all the restaurants have plastic copies of the food you can eat so choosing wasn't as much of a problem as we thought it would be.

We arrived to glorious sunshine but sadly woke this morning to rain which has continued in true British style all day . Not to be put off we threw on our pac a macs and headed for the nearest Starbucks for breakfast and pushed onto our first cultural visit - really interesting temple type things!!!!

After that is was on to the Tokyo tower (Eifel Tower looky likey) and despite the poor visibility made our way up to the viewing platform at 150M to get a birdseye view of the city. We had also planned on  taking a boat ride across the bay but with the risk of that turning into another Dublin Special (for those that where there) we decided to give it a miss.

Right, was only meant to be a qick jot to let you know we were still alive but we'll write again soon when we have a bit more of interest to share with you and who knows, maybe a few photos whilst I still have the camera. (oops never mentioned the 2 new books, umberella and city map that we have managed to lose thus far).

OK - speak soon guys.
love
Jo and Andy

Hi Mr and Mrs Parker,
Please to hear that you arrived safely and are already losing items in order to lighten the rucksack load !
I will keep my fingers crossed that the weather improves but it can't be as bad as the snow here.
Can't wait to see some pictures especially as you decided not to pack the hair straighteners !!!!
Have fun
Love Us xxx
