Our 2.8 mile hike to the top of East Prospect Peak takes us through a pine and fir forest. At the top we have views of nearby Cinder Cone and Butte and Snag Lakes. Further away is a view of Mt. Lassen, and further still to the north is snow-covered Mt. Shasta.
