Highlights of the day!

Today we took the day to drive over to the Blue Ridge Parkway.  After being on the parkway for awhile and seeing so many other cars, we looked at each other and decided to turn around and go back to Graham County where the Skyway and hiking was every bit as special and quieter.  From the perspective of azaleas and rhododendron, we may have been a late this year for this area.  We spoke with a park ranger at the Waterrock Knob Visitor Center and she informed us that they had some high winds a few days ago and most of the blooms were blown away.  It's very hard to get the timing right when mother nature is involved!

We came back feeling very satisfied again with the very special location of the Blue Boar Inn and Graham County.
