Highlights of the day:

Our second Sunday at Twenty Mile Falls in the Smoky Mountain National Park!  We returned a second time to walk another portion of this trail and check out those rhododendron stands, sit by the cascades and generally hang out.  It's easy walking on wide paths, with wooden foot bridges over stream crossings.  Along the way, we stopped to talk with a volunteer park ranger who lives in the area.  Before we knew it about one hour had passed just shooting the breeze!  I guess our retreat in North Carolina has given us the breathing room to let life move along spontaneously.  We had brought books with us in our backpacks and we found a comfortable spot and hung out by a stream.  On either day, I don’t think we ever saw more than four people  - how incredible is that for a national park?
