Highlights of the day!

In the Joyce Kilmer Forest there are several lesser known trails. Today, we hiked a short beginning section of the Naked Ground Trail.  This trail has such a good feel about it, as for quite a long time you are following Little Santeetlah Creek and you have the sounds of the water nearby.    Because of thunderstorms we decided to head back to the car but determined to try again on another day!

Each day we enjoyed some quiet time at the Blue Boar Inn.  The location is so incredibly relaxing, being surrounded by forest, it is a true woodland retreat.  Each day, Harvey practiced his piano in the inn's greatroom.  I liked to read on our cottage's porch.  Each day flowed, with quality time hanging and doing our hobbies, and then time exploring and hiking.
