Posada Los Juncos
http://www.visitlosjuncos.com

Los Juncos is in a quiet location facing Lake Nahuel Huapi in western suburban Bariloche.  It is located at km 20 Avenue Bustillo, on the "Circuito Chico", an especially beautiful area.

Los Juncos has the atmosphere of a private home.  As you turn up the steep driveway, you first see Los Juncos surrounded by flowers and gardens. When we arrived, a guest is sitting in the wood gazebo in the garden reading with a glass of wine by her side.  Our first impression is that this is a low key, relaxing place!  We walk in the front door and enter the great room filled with comfy couches, a bar and dining area. Flavia greets us warmly and we immediately feel welcome!  Flavia speaks English fluently so we chat about the world, about life, and also about the possibilities for touring in the area.  She provides us with a detailed driving map of the Circuito Chico and highlights a few walks.  We are set for the afternoon!

The bedrooms are upstairs and are eclectically furnished with the feel of an Italian country period.  We open our curtains and see a large monkey puzzle tree just outside our window and the view beyond of Lago Nahuel Huapi!  How good is that?  Beside our bed are bottles of water and pieces of chocolate.   We get a really good nights sleep!  Just a comment about the bathroom in our room; if you expect a modern American style bathroom, then Los Juncos might not be for you.

We have one of the best meat dinners of our entire trip here at Los Juncos.  Not only is the ambience of the candlelit table and low key music special, Gaby, the Chef, shows his talent by using excellent high quality & fresh ingredients, creating flavorful dishes.  Flavia chose our wine and it was excellent!

The continental breakfast at Los Juncos is a buffet and we are pleasantly surprised to find fresh squeezed orange juice (such a treat!), an assortment of breads, fresh sliced fruit, granola and cereal, all beautifully displayed.  The housekeeper is very friendly and fills a giant cup with coffee and warm milk.  The sun is streaming in and we gaze out at the lake. Los Juncos just feels so homey and comfortable.  We're happy.
