Drove 8 hours south through an ever changing landscape to Merzouga.  Fascinating drive as we went through green farmland to the snowcapped Atlas mountains to a rocky plain then green palm oasis then finally to the edge of the Sahara Desert.  Stayed in a casbah where the kids took a camel ride into the desert.  Alistairs camel bit Neves on the bum!

Visited a village nearby which had Sudanese immigrants/refugees who played us their music and we peeked in the tiny schoolhouse with kids singing - brilliant.
