It's the last leg! Josh and I have been driving all day into familiar scenery, which has given us plenty of time to reflect upon our trip. Our honeymoon loop around the country has taken us to 22 different states in 22 days. We visited 9 National parks, saw 5 waterfalls, and watched hundreds of thousands of acres of corn whiz by the windows in a blur. Our trusty minivan weathered temperatures from 40 to 110 degrees, and braved thunderstorms, electic storms, strong winds, hail, and countless swarms of splattering insects. We ate when we were hungry, slept when we were tired and eagerly anticipated what new things we would see and do each day. This country is filled with magnificent beauty, and I am so anxious to see and learn more. Never have I felt such longing! Yet, at the same time, I have never felt such satisfaction and joy for what I have. I've married a clever and competent man. I have kind friends and a (now larger!) loving family. I am so blessed and I feel so thankful. This trip marks the beginning of a brand new life with a wonderful husband in a world with endless possibilities.
