Split, Croatia was the first stop on our cruise ship. It was a nice city on the ocean with just a few cultural sights to see. The major one was the Diocletian's Castle. Within the walls of the castle contained the entire city on Split at one time. We also visited an outside flea-market where the locals were selling all sorts of things. They were more than aggressive with their sale techniques. It really made Tijuana seem like a friendly neighborhood garage sale store. "You! You buy!!!" We hardly got a chance to see what they were selling before we were power-walking in the opposite direction as the seller flailed the merchandise in the air as if he were going to shot-put it at us. My camera lost its battery halfway through our visit so we couldn't take pictures of everything that we would have liked to. But I think that we got pretty much all of the important shots before it lost power (none of the merchants). Afterwards we headed back to the ship, had a late lunch and set sail. Our next stop will be Athens and we are both more than excited for that.
