After checking in we went through to the departure lounge to grab some breakfast. Can't say any of us really had an appetite for breakfast, but it took our mind off other things. Even though we had already said our goodbyes, and already left the country, this time it all felt so final.
I am so glad now that I spoke to my Dad on the night before we left, before the emotions had set in again, so I could say 'speak to you soon' without crying. Once again it is the guilt that is the worst - we have made our families feel like this...........and I am so sorry for that.
After more emotional goodbyes on the phone/text/phone messages we were all in a state. Well when I say all I mean me, Jeff and Lucy. Dan just seemed confused about the whole thing, whilst Lucy picked up on our feelings.
The journey to Orlando was very simple really - tv on demand and the children were happy, particularly when they realised that Night at the Museum 2 was on (they had missed it at the cinema in the UK and were really disappointed!)
In between films and Cartoon Network the children slept so life was easy. We even got to watch a film or two so we were happy. We also got the life story of a drunken Scottish lady who was sat in front of us.
We were a little late getting into Orlando due to storms in the area, they were so bad that we had to land at an alternative runway. However, once we had collected our bags and got a taxi to our hotel it had stopped raining.
The hotel was just what we were expecting and was very welcoming, particularly with the warm cookies waiting at reception. After organising our Disney tickets and dinner it was time for bed.
