Sunday morning was leisurely before heading off to the Tower of London to see the Crown Jewels.  Lucy read a book all about the diamonds in the crowns last year so we HAD to visit.  The crowds were huge, but the excitement and enthusiasm from Lucy and Dan made it all worth while!  They absolutely loved the sparkly jewels, particularly the big ones!

This is a part of London I have never been to before and it was good to see Tower Bridge up close as well as wander around the grounds.

It was then a trip over to Covent Gardens for coffee and cakes with Jo before watching the street entertainers, which Dan loved.

The a walk over the River Thames to the Eye to meet Aunty Caroline, a play in the playground before going on the Eye.  Once again the children loved the whole experience.  Daniel couldn't get over how small people looked below and got really excited pointing out things he could see.  He wasn't quite so enthralled over the 4D London Experience show, but Lucy really enjoyed that and didn't mind getting wet this time!

The day finished with a trip to the Rainforest Cafe for dinner.  Jeff and I visited here whilst I was pregnant with Lucy.  It was much more fun this time, watching Lucy and Dan get VERY excited.

It ended up being a very late night, after a tearful goodbye to Caroline we caught the tube back to our hotel at 11pm!

Monday morning was leisurely yet again due to the late Sunday night!

After breakfast we took Lucy and Dan to the Natural History Museum to see the dinosaur exhibition.  Once again they loved it and didn't seem to be bothered by the crowds.  They particularly loved the 'real' T-Rex.  Here's hoping that 'Walking with Dinosaurs' comes to New Zealand so they can experience this more!

After lunch we walked through Green Park to let the children let off steam chasing pigeons!  Then a trip to the Palace and Hyde Park Corner before heading back to the hotel to catch the train to Gatwick to our next hotel.
