As it has been a while since my last post i will try and summarise what i have been doing for the past week or so.
Basically the first thing that i did once i had arrived in Sydney was to get myself a real cup of tea, really sad i know, but after two months of drinking nothing but Lypton you need something a little stronger. It was amazing!!!
After that i managed to get into town via a taxi that a guy that i met on the plane, his company was paying, so i thought that i could save myself some cash and jump in with him. Managed to get into the city centre and decided that i should stay at the easiest place to find and the first one that i came to. Decided on Wake Up! Not a good idea, there are about 700 people staying there, it is the largest hostel in Sydney, and they have all of these rules, like you can't go on each others floors as you have a key card that only allows you on your floor. Plus you have to check out by 10am, and it is really expensive, AUS$34 a night. Only stayed there for a couple of nights and then moved on to a place called World Square Hostel, only opened three weeks ago and it is only AUS$24 a night, plus less people so you meet loads of cool guys.
spent a couple of days chilling out and going through all of the tourist places, Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Botanical Gardens, Hyde Park, plus hit all of the beaches, Bondi, Manly and Coogee. Got taken out by some pretty big waves, but loving every minute of it.
Most of Sydney is just like a typical English city, yet it is hot and everyone that you meet seems to be German. Half of my hostel are from Germany, but they are all really cool.
Hopefully going to Melbourne in a couple of days, so next blog from Melbourne, unless anything massive happens here before then.
