Welcome to Morocco, where the local currency is Dirhams, they speak Moroccan Arabic, French, some Spanish, a little Dutch and even less English.
When I first headed out of Tangier's port I noticed how run down everything was. Upon closer inspection I saw that it was mostly the construction of new buildings, pavements, gardens etc.
Tangier is a city that's growing fast. It's an important part of Morocco's economy as its handily situated at the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea, from the Atlantic Ocean, and so is the first port of call for ships bound for the rest of Africa and southern Europe.
