Today we flew to San Francisco. It was the best flight ever - we took off and by the time we had reached 10,000 feet, it was time to land again! Jess' parents picked us up from the aiport and literally took us all over San Francisco! They took us to the Twin Peaks where we had a really cool view of the whole of San Francisco. We went to Castro, which is a really fun, gay area, then we went to Haight and Ashbury. This is where all the hippy stuff happened in the 60s and it still really has that feel to it today. Then we went to Golden Gate Park and to the Chinese Tea Garden. We went to Sea Cliffs and saw Robin Williams' house. We saw the sunset here which was beautiful. Then we were taken to dinner in one of the oldest restaurants in San Francisco near China Town! It was delicious, especially after eating camping food for 10 days!
This evening we watched The Bird Man of Alcatraz to get us in the mood for our visit to Alcatraz tomorrow!
We love San Francisco!
