Sepilok Orangutan Rehab Centre - From Kota Kinabalu I travelled across to the town of Sandakan and the nearby Orangutan rehabilitation centre. Unfortunately due to the large scale logging that is happening on Borneo numerous Orangutans are being captured, killed or injured. The centre was a chance to see them up close, and was hopefully going to complement me seeing them in the wild as well. The orangutans are fed twice a day for the tourists, and then go back into the forest to get on with their day. They are very use to people and often show off by hanging upside down from the ropes and generally playing up for the cameras.
