Bagan - From Mandalay I took a slow boat down the Ayeyarwady to Bagan, Myanmar's number one attraction. Bagan is a massive area covered with over 4000 temples dating back over a 1000 years. The temples were built in different styles by the different rulers of the kingdom. I spent 2 days cycling around the area looking at the temples, climbling some and enjoying getting off the beaten path.
A lot of temples had individual things to see such as frescoes and nearby monasteries. In this picture of the monastery the young boys are chanting as the old monks eat their food. This is often done at 11am in monasteries across Myanmar.
And of course there was finding the best place to see the sunset (which happened quickly).
