I tried to copy the route we took yesterday and left for work on a train and bus. Though it took me almost equally long, the rides were much friendlier on my feet. Maybe I can attempt to wear heels now.
Going to DHL is always fun. I came to work with a lot of hope--get some real work done and get hooked up on the network. Well I was disappointed on both accounts. We could not proceed with most of our work because we had to get our network security done. But DHL does not have any computers available for us to use. So Kim called and asked us to switch gear. We will find out more when we have our conference call tomorrow. I really wonder what our new scope will be. Kim sent us a document this morning that contains all the analysis that we were supposed to do. I am so confused. I desperately want to get started.
But Marie has been very nice to us and is trying her best to get us all the IT we need. Both Elisabeth and Marie have been great. I will certainly miss Elisabeth when she leaves for Egypt and then Accenture. What will we do without her around?
I almost forgot to talk about our awesome lunch today--rice with potato dish and fish cakes. Whatever they were, it was delicious. I absolutely love the cafeteria. I have yet to eat something I detest there.
