  I got to the station and immediately hailed a taxi.  I did not want to get lost on my way to my hostel again.  One minute later I arrived at my hostel.  I did not know that my hostel is just next to the station.  The taxi driver was nice to get my bags for me though. 

After checking into my room, I quickly headed for the Uffize Gallery.  More than an hour later, I got in.  There were a lot of important artwork here by Da Vinci, etc.  I am beginning to like Italian art.  :)  These paintings bring back memories from those days when I took an art history class my freshman year.  That was one of the most difficult classes I took in college.   

My feet was killing me again.  I decided to have dinner at the restaurant next to the gallery.  To play it safe, I got spaghetti (wish I did not!) and tiramisu.  The spaghetti was kind of plain though tasty.  The dessert nearly put me to sleep.  But I finally got my Italian tiramisu.

  I wanted to walk off the calories and went for a long walk around the city.  Guess what?  I got lost AGAIN!  I did not want to attract attention to myself by pulling out my English map (I am again reminded of the Parisian guy.  Eeewww!!!!).  There were a lot of creepy men lurking around every corner of every street in Florence.  Somehow they scare me more than the ones in Rome.  Luckily for me I can pretend I don't understand a word they say to me and keep on walking.  After all Asians can't speak English, right?  :)  After passing through all the piazzas in town, I found myself where I want to be.  Hallelujah! 

It has been days since I used the computer.  I also needed to find a way to get a rental car to drive around Tuscany tomorrow.  While on my computer, I overheard an American girl telling her mother on the phone that she wants to drive around Tuscany tomorrow but she does not want to do it alone.  Man, God is good!  Afterwards I approached her and we agreed to meet tomorrow during breakfast to go rental car hunting.
