3 words- Yosemite is beaut. Yosemite park is home to the bears, men carrying hunting knifes ( I'll get onto that later) and large trees, hills and glacier landscapes. The park is massive and a fitting place for bears of any shape and colour to roam! The drive into the park was amazing with the hills and trees towering above our teeny car. It’s very green in Yosemite with various shades bouncing off the sun and hills! I’ve noticed Yosemite locals carry knives casually in their pockets obviously awaiting a bear attack. I even saw a man last night doing his laundry with a knife strapped to his thigh…….makes me think maybe I should start carrying our plastic pi

cnic knife attached to my thigh? Bring it on bears I’m equipped with a smart price picnic knife!

We started off the day with a picnic infested with wasps. As soon as we sat down prepped our sannies and the ham juice squirted on the table loads of wasp’s buuuuuuuzzzzzed our way. So yip I spent my lunchtime running in circles, sannie in hand dodging wasps flying my way. After lunch we made our way down to a lovely river which was flowing in between large boulders and tree trunks. The tree trunks lay across the water making it similar to the dirty dancing scene where Patrick Swayze and baby walk across the tree trunks? You know the one I mean….so yes I did have to walk across the tree trunk like out the movie….shame I didn’t have a Patrick Swayze eh? Haha

After playing in the water we made our way to vernal falls which is situated up in the mountains of Yosemite. Having trekked the day before we weren’t really up for a long hike but after reading that the trail was short and suitable for wheelchairs and prams we thought EASY EASY EASY lets dooo it. After 3minutes into the walk it became apparent that yes the trail was flat for wheelchairs and prams but the fact you are walking at a 180degree angle up a cliff face might make pushing such things as a task. Luckily (or unluckily) rowan and elodie were being carried up to the top. I would like to say if anyone out there has actually pushed a wheelchair upto the falls you are a trooper because I would have had to tell the person to get up out the chair and wheel me to the top…..

I’m not joking when I say it was like walking up at a 180degree angle…it was the steepest hill EVER but the trek was worth it. Vernal falls was lovely and the water was streaming between boulders as large as houses. Unfortunately an hour before we reached the falls two little boys had drowned in the falls so whilst we were up there we could see search and rescue and a few upset people so it kind of took the shine off of the fall. Very sad but a beautiful waterfall none the less.

Next up before we left Yosemite Park was to visit Glacier Point. Glacier point is the best view point in to see the full Yosemite Valley. It was breath taking looking out onto the valley bellow and seeing the waterfall we had previously visited in amongst all the trees and looking tiny in comparison. We walked round the viewpoint and thought we would stop in at the toilets before making the 4hr journey to Stockton. Well I know before I have mentioned camper bums and how campers toilets seem to attract camper bum, picture this……. A Unisex toilet, I say toilet but it was literally a whole in the ground…..with no flush because it literally was a whole into the forest floor 10ft beneath. The toilet literally was the definition of campers bum if I’ve ever seen one. So ive  tried uploading a video of Nataalies experience in the campers bum toilet it’s too funny!

So camperbummed out our nuts we headed off on hour 4hr drive to Stockton. We didn’t arrive to well after 10.30 at night so decided to get a good old Mcdonalds. Being Mcdonalds number one employee I was interested to see the difference in an American Mcdoes. I had a strange chicken burger which was southernfried but with no sauce, in a hamburger bun and then three pickles ontop?!? Strange! I’m not sure pickles and chicken go but I was so hungry it went right down the hatch!

A beaut day in Yosemite, no bears were seen and we left with a car full of food intact…secretly I was hoping we would come back to the car park from our hike to see a bear riding our car roof!!!

Night y’all
