Ibiza. What can I say? The beaches are so beautiful, the clubs are mindblowing and the sunsets are the best ive ever seen in my life. If it wasnt for all the rowdy English people, itd be my idea of heaven! I met up with Tara in our hotel and we headed straight for the shop to pick up some sangria, then took it down the sunset strip in San Antonio.

I then saw the most amazing sunset of my entire life. The sun was a giant red ball in the sky, slipping down slowly, casting beautiful orange beams across the azure blue sky. When the sun dipped low enough to touch the sea, everyone began clapping and cheering, and when it disappeared from sight, the crowd went crazy. Ive never heard of anyone clapping the sunset before, but I understand why everyone did.

We headed out to a club called Amnesia, for a night called Manumission. It was pretty crazy - a cross between caberet, freak show and festival - with performances cirque du solei style all night. Music wasnt my favorite, but the show definitely made up for it. 8 euros for water though...

The next day we caught thebus to Ibiza Town and went to Bora Bora, a bar on Malibu beach, where they face the speakers out to the water. Had a relax on the deck chairs, then I got my hoop out and played with it in the water. The sea is so crystal clear here, whichi  wasnt expecting. I thought the tourism would have polluted it, but no, its gorgeous. Tara says it reminds her of Thailand.

We headedback to San An for the sunset again, this time getting a table in THE Cafe del Mar thanks to my mates from Seville, Alicia and Catharine. My god, it was even better than the night before. I had a mojito in my hand, watching the gorgeous sun drift lower and lower in the sky, `with the best chillout music in the world as my soundtrack. I can only say that you must experience this for yourself, no amount of enthusing or photo sharing will ever explain that magic.

Tara and I went to another club called El Devino after that, where Hed Kandi were playing. Danced to cheesy house music (my favorite!) all night. The club was packed but cool, with a live sax and drum player, dancers and cool clientele. We bought another8 euro bottle of water, and, as we do in sydney, kept filling it up in the bathrooms. We were talking to a couple of guys later and happened to mention that was what we were doing. They were horrified. Apparently the water in ibiza toilets is actually salt water from the ocean, diluted a bit, but still salt water! So every sip we took was actually dehydrating us more!

The next day we wandered around San An shops in thesun, ended up buying some bikinis and then having lunch with Catharine, her boyfriend Wes and Alicia. Was a bit sad to leave but we did so much in 3 days I think we got the spirit of Ibiza. But Id love love love to go back for more!

I'm playing the Cafe del Mar CD in the car as we speak. The waves are lapping, glasses chinking on the soundtrack. Now I can picture the sunset with clapping!
