Where I stayed
The weather was fantastic and the beach was packed. Was convinced by Paul and Jason to get in the water and oh my god. Jumping in took my breath away. It was so cold it felt like I was getting stabbed by a thousand knives that had been chilled in the freezer for a few hours. No amount of swimming and jumping around could warm me. Jason was on a lilo and we quickly reenacted the door scene in Titanic - 'I'll never let go Jack' - and then got out. Now, imagine your feet are like icicles, and instead of walking back to your towel on the nice soft sand, there are massive rocks on the ground which stab your feet at every step. Pain. I eventually realised that I should stop with the whinging and just go with the flow, so got into the cider and relaxed
Got pretty trashed in the sun, so me and anya grabbed greasy fish and chips (fish and chips by the seaside, ooh!), and went home to get changed. She had to work and I met up with a group of Ben's mates at a local pub. Had a really great night and felt adopted by the group. Am just off to get a personalised tour of Brighton this morning by Tom, which will hopefully be more informative than Anya's ("what's that massive building, Anya"..."no idea"..."what's that museum like?"...."no idea").
Am going out clubbing tonight to see Stanton Warriors which sounds wicked (this is local slang for 'cool') and will report back tomorrow.
EDIT - Tom's tour was so great, very informative and fun. And Stanton Warriors at Audio blew my mind...vid and pics below.
