Welcome to sunny Spain. Be careful of pick pockets on the train. They mostly sound like Russians, and try to get you as you board the train with your hands full. Try not to be last on the train and don't get on in the middle cariages. The train is the cheapest way ($5.00) to get to Sitges, but if you can afford it definately get a taxi, far less stress.
Our first 4 days are hin the Calipolis Hotel, and we are in a back room with a wonderful view of the carbage collection area - which is emptied at 3am. Oh Joy! The town itself is very cute and is typical of most Mediterranean costal towns, with the Fort, Churches and small quaint alleyways and streets that are only for pedestrians. We are again confronted by our mono-lingual upbringings, oh well, we manage to feed oursleves for the first few days untill we get a better understanding of whats what on the menu.
We manage to walk almost the entire town over the first few days. The beaches are ok, nothing to write home about compared to Sunshine Beach anyway. We relax and sleep heaps getting into the afternoon siesta routine very easily.
We move on Saturday to a new hotel (just accross the road) as ours is fully booked out for some even... OMG we should have done this on day 1. Our new hotel is a palace by comparison. We have our own kitchen, dinning room, a seperate bedroom (will keep Terry happy with the Tennis starting at 1.30am!!) and a fantastic view of the beaches and town to the south. Unfortunately we managed to drop our camera the day before we arrived, and we have lost our USB port for the phone in transit somewhere! So from here on in the pictures will have to wait till we get home. Sorry guys.
