(Thursday, June 22)--After a great springtime in Amsterdam and Italy it's time to head back to the United States for the summer and defend my title as the Hardest Working Poet in Show Business. So this afternoon I'm splitting for Schipol Airport and the Continental jet that will take me to my first stop: Newark, NJ, home of the great American poet--and my dear friend, mentor and idol--Amiri Baraka. Hope to see you along the trail this summer!
