If you read this entry earlier it was not supposed to have been posted, so forget what you read! ZAPPPPPPPPP! You just forgot anything you might have read earlier so now you may carry on!

OK, so I am sitting here in a Beijing Internet cafe waiting........... A few weeks ago I mentioned spending time with a German girl. Well after spending a week together we went our separate ways. She went West towards Tibet and I headed North here to Beijing. We kept in touch over the last 2 weeks and I casually mentioned a few days ago that she should come and meet me in Beijing so we can make a trip to Mongolia together. I never expected her to say yes? She was on the other side of the country(continent for that matter.)Well things happen and she is now in the middle of a straight 49 hour train journey to meet me here. I sit here in amazement thinking how crazy of an idea that was. I would not sit on a train for 3 straight days to hang out with me? I am excited that she did, I am looking forward to seeing her! The thing is that the weather here is changing fast. It is getting cold! I had to go from "flip flop mode" to "shoe mode" and everyone knows I do not like the idea of shoes! I have spent the last 2 days buying clothing and wearing it on top of the last thing I bought and it does not seem to be working. It just keeps getting colder. I am starting to realize that I might have underestimated the severity of the weather North of here. I am writing this because I know she will not read this, but how do I tell someone that has just spent 3 straight days on a train to meet me and make a trip to Mongolia that I might have changed my mind? I am hoping and thinking that she made the long trip to see me more then a sudden desire to see Mongolia.

My first day here in Beijing I came across an "all you can eat pizza buffet." How magical is that! I have had it 3 straight days in a row! Traveling the world as an American comes with some big responsibility. But never have I felt as much pressure as I did walking into a Chinese "all you can eat pizza buffet." Dick and the boys have proven that maybe we are not cut out to rid the world of "terror" and "evil tyrants" but no one can take away the fact that Americans "can rock the BUFFET!" The Richoux family might not be the best looking people in the world, we might not be the smartest people in the world, we might not really even process any real talents, but you cannot take away the fact that we can eat! I am a Richoux and eating is what we are good at! So I had that added burden of family legacy and tradition resting on my shoulders. I could not let my family and fellow country man down in front of a bunch of China man! I represented... Baby... Baby!!!!

We all want something beautiful..........Johnny Nomad
