I woke up on the beach in Thailand 2 days ago and said to myself........."Brohan, what is up with you? Turn that frown up side down MISTER! You need to light a fire under your ass and get out there! You're a CHAMPION buddy. So start living like one!" I decided to leave the confinements and security of "tourist land" and put some adventure in my life! And just 2 short days later here I am sitting on the North Eastern coast of Malaysia(on the South China Sea)in a small Islamic city. I am on the outskirts of the Malaysian jungle.

So my resent journey consisted of the following combos: truck > boat > motorbike > train > train > motorbike > bus.......So after an entire batteries worth of "dirty rap songs" on my Ipod and just shy of 27 hours of being on the road, I arrived here completely exhausted and smelling worse then a homeless person addicted to "Indian Food." The first thing I did when I got to my hostel was drop my bag and take a nap. In hind sight that was kind gross because after a short nap I realized that the bed did not have any sheets and had some pretty odd stains on it, "luv puddles" could be my only guess? The place is pretty meager but what can you ask for for just over $2 a night.

The trip down was long but interesting. I enjoy watching people come and go from the train. Coming from Thailand that is 95% Buddhist, 4% Muslim and then into Malaysia which is overwhelmingly Muslium. The clothing attire and attitude are obviously different. I was thinking about it today on the train. Why do I like being around Muslium people so much? Don't get me wrong Thai people are really lovely as well. And then it came to me. Because they are really relaxed. A lot of people I come across traveling are overly aggressive with tourist because they seem them as $$$! It makes me nervous when someone is being aggressive with me in a language I do not understand. But with Muslims besides the odd taxi driver do not bother tourist. They are a real pleasue to be around!

I plan on spending the next few weeks along the coast doing some diving and then making my way through the jungle enroute to Singapore. The adventures have only begun!
