Well looks like this is good bye to "New Amsterdam!" At this time tomorrow I will be sitting in an airport in Tokyo, Japan! It blows my mind to even think about that thought. Asia is a long way from home and everything I find comfort in! As the "GO" time approaches I am getting more and more nervous. Seems like after over 2 years, 7 continents, and more then 50 countries of travels I would be getting used to the routine? I guess it comes down to human nature and the fear of the unknown. I am living the life of the eternal foreigner!?! I truly believe that all true travelers are in search of something. It would be foolish of me to leave here with thoughts of changing the world when ultimately it will be the world that will change me! It humbles me to see that people read these ramblings of mine. I honestly believe that the world would be a better place if people took just a second of there lives to realize that there is an amazingly interesting world just out their door just waiting to be explored. You do not even have to leave your neighborhood. If I expose just a few people to something new through my travels and writings it will all be worth wild. Hopefully in a year or so I will return home as the same small town boy with a new bigger perspective on the world. Looks like my next message will be from the far Eastern end of the world. I am excited to type that! It is only by the grace of God that I am able to live this amazingly interesting life. So sit back, relax, and watch the story of the "Johnny Nomad Experiment" as it unfolds! I would love to hear feedback and know who is reading this so do not forget to sign my wall and leave comments!

Hey John, there was a time not long ago that you were in Jerusalem helping to celebrate a misguided cat from Athens, Ga's birthday. I am keeping up with ya man and wish you the best on your journey(s). The pics from Israel were great and I can't wait to see what is up your sleeve for the next round. Just wanted to say hello and 'keep on truckin'.
