Today we decided to do the tourist trail from Como and caught the bus around the lake to a small town called Menaggio. It's built into the mountain and took about an hour by bus to get there. Found some cool little souvenirs but most importantly, they have a great minigolf course! We played a round but the surface was vinyl and it was blowing a gale which made it extremely hard! We gave up after a while cos the ball had a mind of it's own.
After finishing our golf we caught the ferry across the lake to another little nice but very touristy town called Bellagio. Had some crappy microwave pasta there and caught the bus back to Como down the other side of the river.
That night we had tea at the hostel and got talking to these Italian teachers. We started talking about funny Australian sayings like 'a beer short of a sixpack' etc and they have some strange ones. They have a saying and also a reply to the saying that you have to respond with. The wierdest one was a saying for good luck (kinda like our 'break a leg') and it goes...
