Last Thursday, 6 of my friends and I cut class (shhh!) to go to Bilbao, in the north of Spain.

Here's a view of the city.

The city isn't very remarkable, but it's famous because of the Guggenheim Museum, designed by Frank Gehry and opened in 1997. Pretty cool.

Spider eggs?

In the front of the museum stands a giant Westie, covered in plants and flowers.

The Basque country is known for it's pinxos (pinchos), little bite sized portions of bread topped with all sorts of yummy stuff like ham and goat cheese.

Then on Friday morning, we went to San Sebastian, a popular resort town in the north of Spain, near France. For pics, see the next entry!
