I just got back from a 4 day trip to Amsterdam. Man, what a trip. Two people ended up missing the flight, so it ended up being just three of us. Just a quick warning, some pictures towards the end might surprise you. Hahaha.

Here are some pictures of Amsterdam. Very few of the houses are actually straight. They're either leaning in, leaning out, or leaning to one side or another.

Anybody need to pee?

The flower market

Candie!! When I saw this I literally ran after the woman to take a picture of her dog. The resemblance is pretty uncanny.

Everybody in Amsterdam has a bike, so they've come up with a fun contraption to transport their kids.

Dam, City Center

Anne Frank House. This was a pretty cool experience, seeing how she lived in hiding for two years. The museum entrance is the metal clad building to the right of the tree. Anne Frank's house is right in front of the lamppost.

The Rijksmuseum houses some very important works of art, including Rembrandt's "The Night Watch"

Rembrandt's House

Van Gogh Museum

Pancakes. Yummmm!

Ok, now to the good part! This place is called the Green House, where the likes of Britney Spears, Lenny Kravitz, and DMX smoked it up. It had a really cool vibe, so we went twice.

So the first time we went, they were out of prerolled joints! Grr... so we rolled them ourselves. Got a pack of cigarettes and started mixing. My friend hadn't rolled a joint in a few years and I... well, turned out to be pretty useful. Haha, don't ask how.

Smoking a joint kinda makes you gag and cough at first, but then it's okay.

The next day, we tried a bong. Haha, this one hit me pretty good.

I liked the bong better cause it goes down smoother, good for non-smokers like me.

We went back to the Green House on the last day. This time we got joints that were a lot stronger. In all honesty, being stoned is kinda fun, especially for me cause I'm always on edge. The Green House had fresh mint tea that was really good, but we were munching on Snickers like crazy.

Holding up my joint and mint tea at the same time proved to be challenging.

After traveling around Europe, I'm realizing that Madrid really isn't my city. The people in Portugal and Amsterdam are really friendly and the cities are really cool, lots of stuff to do during the day. People here can be really rude, the streets are dirty, and everybody smokes! And don't even get me started on the food... if I couldn't cook, I think I'd be dead by now. Oh well, it's an experience. Only 4 1/2 months left here until I go home!!!

Next trip: Granada and Sevilla on April 24th, then hopefully Paris in May. Almost everybody in my class has been to Paris, so I might end up going alone. It'll be okay though, I've wanted to go there for such a long time.

After final exams end on June 26th, we're going to THE CANARY ISLANDS! I'm so excited, my friend Vince (in the pic above) scored us an amazing deal on a timeshare sort of thing, 94€ ($145) for seven nights by the beach!

Okay guys, that's it for now. Take care!
