I hopped on a bus in Salta and 26 hours later arrived in Puerto Iguazu, the town on the argentian side of Iguazu falls. The journey was long but it went way faster than I´d expected...I´d charged up my mp3 player before I got on the bus but I didn´t end up listening to it at all. I was sitting upstairs at the front so I had a really good view and there was a woman from buenos aires beside me who worked as a tv reporter and she was pretty interesting and a girl from belgium on my left who was pretty cool so we just ended up yapping and the time just went by. We also played bingo on the bus which was a bit of craic, the guy from the bus company who was calling the numbers fancied himself as a bit of a dude and the belgian girl woke up in the night to find him sitting on the spare seat beside her with his hand on her knee, so that was kinda interesting when she told him to get lost!
We got to Puerto and I stayed in a hostel called Hostel Inn....it was like a hotel resort or something with this big swimming pool outside the front...definitley not bolivia. Then the next day I went to the falls with some of the ones from the hostel...there´s not as much water there at the moment as in other times of the year but it was still pretty impressive...it takes about 5 hours to do all the trecks and see all the sights. The hostel had an all you can eat pizza night that night which was good....there was a BBQ the night I left which I missed unfortunately....the argentinians love their steak. But I´ll be back to argentina after brazil so I´ll have a go of it then.
