7 Oct - Antonio and Christine Ndung'u met us at the hotel where Antonio and I conducted Church business for several hours. It is very pleasant in the city today with cool temperatures at this altitude of 6000 feet. After a late lunch, Merrie and I departed for the airport and flew to Kisumu, Kenya where we rented a car and I made the mental switch to driving on the left side of the road. This being my 19th trip to Kenya, driving from the right seat in lefthand and unregulated traffic returns almost automatically to me now. We bought provisions for the coming week. We stayed the night at the Imperial Hotel and did our best to sleep in the warm room with a broken air conditioner.
