20 April - UB1 - A combined holy day service was held at the Migori hall with members from nearby congregations in attendance, along with the 18 Local Congregational Contacts and their wives. This special day was highlighted by the ordination of the first indigenous minister in East Africa, Antonio Ndung'u. Many came to witness the event and worship together as the Feast began. Ed and I gave split sermons and afterwards several counseled for baptism. One lady will be baptized in a nearby lake affording me further opportunity to teach Antonio Ndung'u and Ed Dowd the ministerial process. Evening brought the elders, deacons and congregational contacts together for dinner as the first holy day concluded on the eve of our leadership conference.
