Really! I haven't been north of I-70, but the entire state south of I-70 might as well be one big national park. Every road I've traveled has been just as awe inspiring as the sights within the parks.

Last night I stayed in Torrey, UT, just outside of Capitol Reef NP. So, this morning I spent a few hours in the park and then headed south through the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, including Lake Powell, on my way to my last attraction for the day, Natural Bridges National Monument.

I'm afraid I might be getting addicted to the high level of adrenaline pumping through my blood vessels as I am constantly reacting to the endless chain of dramatic landscape features as I ride, whether in a park or between them. Seriously, sometimes I'll let out my amazement with loud vocal expressions and then think it's a good thing nobody can hear me.

Below are a few photos to help you understand why I'm turning into a lunatic on the road.

Tomorrow I'll visit Mesa Verde NP in Colorado, then a brief stop at the Four Corners on my way to Canyon de Chelly National Monument in Arizona.

John: Great pictures. I do hope you will come home again sometime. The map reminds me that my grandfather left for New Mexico in 1900 ( for his health). He worked on a Navajo reservation near the 4 corners and then was a preacher at the Methodist Church in Mancos, Colorado. I've never been to that area, but your pictures really inspire me to go.
