After the rescue mission we were on our way, of to a place called Russell in the Bay of Islands. Arrived late afternoon & headed down to book ourselves a trip for the next day, then off to the local for a quick pint.
The trip we had booked was to go on a catamaran & see dolphins in their natural habitat. It was a good day in all & the weather managed to hold up for us, we also spotted some Orka whales whilst we were out. We were told that due to the Orka´s & that the dolphins had babies, we wern´t able to swim with them. It didn´t spoil anything as it was great just to see the Orka & Dolphine full stop, a really good day all round.
On the drive to Auckland we stopped of one night near a waterfall which we got up early to go visit. It was nice but there was a weird bloke in the car park, & we didn´t feel comfortable leaving the van there. The walk around the falls only took about 15 mins though, well timed as it started to rain again! In the afternoon we saw a sign for a place called Sheepworld, & decided to go & visit. We got to see a sheep being sheered, by what turned out to be an English guy that we chatted to afterwards. It was cool as we got to feed & hold some Lambs, but I was ambushed by about 3 of them. Didn´t want to let John near them as he hadn´t had lunch yet, & had a funny look in his eyes!! Had a look around the park after as they had Goats, Lama, Pigs, & Ponies, etc to see.
