A free bus ran from Noosa out to Australia Zoo so, in true cheapskate style, we took this and had a day out with the animals. The zoo was set up by Steve "Crikey! He's wild!!" Irwin's mum and is now run by him and his wife. Our first stop was the 'Crocoseum,' where we saw a free-flying bird show, tigers and crocs being fed - you should watch the clip and listen to the crunch as their jaws clamp down on the food, it was really something.
We saw lots of other animals, too many to list, but the highlights were the crocs, cheetahs and a 180 year old tortoise called Henrietta! More thumbnails ...
