The Texas Department of Transportation provides free ferry service from Port Aransas to Aransas Pass. With a maximum of 65 feet in length, we easily fit on board. Now, I really enjoyed the ferry and John was feeling a little uneasy about driving his RV onto a boat. It was cool, just too short.
Arriving on the other side, John drove out to Rockport and Fulton to check out some parks he found on-line. No luck. So, back to Aransas Pass we went and landed in a very nice park with super nice folks
This area has a lot of retirees. It is much more rural, but not far from the city.
I had my camera set wrong while we were here, so some of the photos don't show what I thought I was taking a picture of. You will see that the humidity is leaving my hair at its worse and I've almost given up on it.
Texas note: If a place has a Donut Palace, Dollar General, Reilly's Auto Supply, and a Dairy Queen, it is probably a town. If you add a Whataburger, Wal-Mart and a Bealls Department Store, it's a big town.
