"Where are we going and why?" Rhetorical/ philosophical question at the start of almost every management course I've ever been on.

Nothing rhetorical or philosophical about this entry: Our outline plans are as follows:

17-27 November: Capetown and the garden route. Because we lived in Zambia for two years and missed the opportunity to visit SA then. My Rotary Club funded equipment for a school in Kynsna which is on the itinerary.

28 November - 2 January: Australia. To visit Maria our daughter in Albany, Western Australia; to see the rest of this great country for the first time including Ayers Rock, Cairns, a drive down to Brisbane for Christmas stopping off on the Great Barrier Reef for a few days sailing; and finishing with 5 days in Sydney for the New Year.

2-18 January: Touring New Zealand. Because it's the next country along in this distant part of the world; and the more we hear about the place the more we realise there is so much to see and do.

18-24 January: A beach holiday in Fiji. After a couple of thousand miles driving, time for a relaxing 6 days on a South Pacific island - hopefully plenty of boating and windsurfing.

24-27 January: Waikiki Beach, Honolulu. Really just a stop-over on a long flight to the West Coast, but the opportunity to visit Pearl Harbour. And we gain a day as we cross the International Date Line.

27 January - 11 February. Touring the main sights of California, Arizona and Nevada including Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Yosemite and San Fransisco. Because its on the way home and we doubt we would otherwise visit this side of the States. The grand finale!
