Rose:

Today we take to the water for a ride in the Shotover jet in the dramaic
Shotover river canyon. It's a clever boat that goes up to 80km per hour and only needs 10cm of
water. The driver dodged the canyon walls (and gave us a few 360 degree spins).
It's great fun wind racing through your hair, and getting drenched. The canyon is beautiful with the usual clear blue water that is so characteristic of here.

Joel: We spent the afternoon preparing for our 3 day hike (or tramping as its known here) on the "Routeburn Track", apparently one of New Zealanders favourite walks in fjordland and one of the Department of Conservation's Great Walks. Lots of mountains, waterfalls, lakes and great views. Can't wait!

Re: coincidences..
Thanks for the message. Me and Harry exchanged a few emails but we missed each other as I was still in the South Island. How are you doing - are you still planning on going to Oz to work....
