Port Louis

This afternoon Suren drove me to Port Louis, where I had a very pleasant visit with Clency at his house. His wife came in for part of our conversation. They live in a sort of sub-division in the outskirts of Port Louis, on land they lease from the State. They have built themselves a house on the land, very clean and nice on the inside, even if they didn't have ideal contructions materials with which to work. We talked about his history in the Church and the situation in Mauritius. It was pleasure to better get to know this gentle, smiling man. After several hours, Suren came back and picked me up. We drove up to Grand Baie, just for a quick look around, and then back to Quatre Bornes for an Indian dinner.
