Wednesday, Nathan and Moïse arrived at the hotel at 10:00. They asked for a detailed explanation of the annual Holy Days, both the theoretical and practical aspects of the days. This session continued until 4:30 in the afternoon with a short break for lunch. They are very determined to become part of UCG, as their questions made clear. They appeared very sincere and quite well informed on many things. We do receive such requests to join with us quite often, and most of the time they don't pan out. But I try to give these situations a chance, and see where they will lead. Occasionally they really do work out, and we have members truly join us. I asked about the situation in Burundi. They have had Hutu-Tutsi problems there similar to the problems in Rwanda. They had a long and destructive civil war which only ended fairly recently. They told me that the country was now peaceful and fairly safe; it would be no problem for me to travel to see them in their country. I'll do some more research to be on the safe side, but at this point I plan to try to go on my next African trip in January-February. After the men left, I finally finished the next issue of Bonnes Nouvelles and sent it off to the printer. I also prepared a sermon for tomorrow, which will be the Feast of Trumpets, one of the Holy Days I discussed with Nathan and Moïse. They will attend with us.

Thanks for taking the time to describe your travels and give us some understanding of our brethren there. It must be encouraging to meet the new men from Burundi and share the truth with them. We're keeping you in our prayers and look forward to all the updates.

Thank you for taking the time to post information about your journey. I enjoy reading your stories.
I met the Kirkpatricks at Trumpets yesterday and understand you're giving them a pre-Feast tour of Paris. I think a stop at Angelina's for the exquisite chocolate chaud should be in order.
A bientot!
