Hello all,

Thank you for your comments of encouragement and support. I read all the comments that are posted and do appreciate the time you spend following these travels and expressing your thoughts.

In a few hours we'll be heading out of Abidjan, north and west toward the city of Man to visit members and interested people in rural areas. I doubt that I will have Internet access and so probably won't be able to publish any blog posts until we return, which will be on Monday or Tuesday.

Thanks again for the blog and insights into the lives of our brethren in Africa. It helps us pray more fervently for them and for God's Kingdom. May you stay well and safe.

Hello, Mr. Meeker. Greetings from New York City. I, too, am an avid reader of your travel blog and love to read about our brethren in Africa and your experiences as you travel in these exotic, unpredictable locales. I appreciate the sacrifices you make and the risks you take in service to these brethren. You are an astute observer of the human condition and your sense of humor and good graces go a long way in counterbalancing the corruption and harshness sometimes encountered along the way. The geography and even language lessons are appreciated, as are your writing skills, no doubt inherited from your mother. With kind regard for everything you do, including how you persevered valiantly under very difficult circumstances in our former association.

Thank you for taking from your busy schedule to give us so many details of your travels. I enjoy them all very much. Other ministers give us information of opportunities you have been given in the church government as it surges ahead with new life and energy. How exciting to see all this happening as God blesses his church.

It always gives me such great pleasure to read your blogs. It is very educational to see how others live and how the things that we take for granted are a luxury to them. Thank you and our prayers are always with you that God protect you.

What a pleasure to take this journey with you. I am sure it is the only way most of us will get to know our brethren over there for now anyway. You are certainly in our prayers for safe keeping as are the brethren. May you travel safely to your Feast site to unite with your wife and your Dad. Have a most wonderful Feast!
Thank you so very much for your service, Joel. Godspeed.
