Our layover in Narita was 6 hours, more than enough time to grab a bite to eat and take a nap. They have "day rooms" for rent by the hour, reclining chairs, lounges, massage stations and chairs, showers, and all kinds of other amenities. CJ decided to eat, so we headed to the cafeteria. He really enjoyed the udon--noodles, broth, and mystery meat. I passed, thinking that I'd just eat on the last leg to Guam. His bowl of udon and a small ginger ale were $10!
Unfortunately, all of the day rooms were rented, so we took our cue from the other travelers stretched out around the terminal and took a nap for a couple hours.
The flight to Guam was packed with Japanese tourist headed for their vacation in gorgeous Guam. Guam is their Hawaii-an expensive tropical vacation destination. Our in-flight meal was interesting, and I almost enjoyed it, even though I didn't know what all of it was.

Napping Rooms
I just saw a news story about how the Japanese relax, since they lead such busy lives. Along with visiting cat houses, renting a napping room was on the list. I'd take the napping room over a house full of cats any day.
I can't wait to read how Guam was. I had not idea it was a vacation spot equivalent to the Hawaiian islands.
