We left Cornwall and embarked on a long and expensive train ride to Heathrow which took 6 hours. When we got there it was dark and we had to make our way to the hotel we had booked which was allegedly right outside terminal 5. We caught the bus from there and had believed the driver knew exactly where we needed to go. But when he ushered us out of the bus, we quickly realized that we had been conned and left in the middle of nowhere with all our baggage (and a wad of hidden cash from the sale of Bigwig)… Some locals at the pub called around to figure out our problem and it turns out we were miles and miles from where we were supposed to be.

We flagged down a bus heading back in the other direction and asked him if he could take us back to the terminal as we needed to get to the T5 Travel Lodge. He told us that we needed to walk away and catch another bus and that he couldn't help us. And just as we were about to go away some passengers yelled out to us, "Are you heading to the T5 Travel Lodge? So are we, this is the bus!"
What a couple of bastard bus drivers! We quickly climbed aboard and soon we were away and in our hotel room. There may have been a bus driver conspiracy against Aussies. That, or the universe didn’t want us to leave Europe.
Oh but alas, it is Australia day, and no better a day for two tired Aussies to go home.
