Flag of Spain  , Murcia,
Thursday, December 9, 2010

We camped the night in Murcia on our long inland sojourn to the town of Bullas. The landscape had become even drier and the stretches of road seeming endless in the heat. When we finally came upon Bullas we really didn't expect much, the main reason we had decided to travel this far out of our way was so that we could find some little Bullas themed nik-naks for our friends the Bullas’ back at home.

Actually pronounced "Boo’yas", the town was really clean and quaint. Sadly no schloss, but it did have a reputation as great wine producers. So we got stuck in.
We couldn’t say it was a very touristy place, certainly not at this time of the year. So we were being gawked at quite a bit from the locals. Jena thinks it’s because Joel was wearing shorts and thongs, but he thinks it’s just because we look like a couple of hippies; both wearing headbands…

We set off another 100km south back to the coast through the vast dry hills, through Lorca and on until we settled in Aguilas. We found another classic beachside park and dug in for the night.
