Driving further down the correct route we stumbled across another ferocious waterfall. The whole place is so chaotic and dangerous. The rivers boil with such icy anger it is almost hypnotic.
As we ventured onward, we were fascinated by every corner. Norway has so many unique characteristics. We followed many icy rivers and cliffs, went through half a dozen poorly lit mountain tunnels, longest which was about 6.2km, and suddenly realized that our nice little road had stopped in front of us.
We got a little education on Norwegian mythology (we'll get into that a bit later) before we caught a ferry across the Moldefjord at Valldal
An old myth in this country is the Troll. These apparently are colossal old creatures that live in the mountains. They are very rare, and apparently if they get caught exposed to sunlight then they turn to stone. There are huge mountains with big noses that can attest to this, so its pretty watertight.
Now everywhere we go we see these butt ugly monuments of Trolls.
