The Giant’s Causeway in no small terms is the most thrillingly and amazing natural phenomenon we have seen on this trip! The walk around the cliffs let us look down on the most amazing volcanic artwork we have ever seen. Walking down in amongst the stones was so strange and was as if we had entered some kind of magic world. It was an unforgettable place.
After an aching walk we decided to go and visit Bushmill’s, a huge whisky distillery in the town there. We had a real good time sampling their 12 year old spirits for free!
After getting our fill of natural beauty and hard liquor, we decided to get our thrill of dazing heights as we ventured out on to Carrick-a-Rede, an old rope bridge going over some cliffs that salmon fishers have been using for hundreds of years. The glorious clear, sunny day let us really take in the amazing views, seeing right out across the ocean to Scotland.
This rare weather made for a great day and we came to rest across the beach in a quaint town called Cushendun. Where our new fishing rod may get some exercise!
