Flag of Ireland  , County Meath,
Saturday, May 15, 2010

Driving aimlessly west as we do when a GPS isn't handy, brought us to a town called Trim. A sweet little town built around a great big 13th Century castle. A bunch of very sociable boys tried to tell us all the ways we could get into the castle for free. But the view from outside was stunning enough. Apparently in winter you can just walk across the frozen moat.

One guy was bellyaching about how miserable the weather must be for us visitors, when in fact it was the sunniest day we had seen thus far.

It’s true what they say about the Irish, they can talk your ear off if they get half the chance and they will.
