Mother's day today had us looking frantically for an internet wifi spot. Being one of those things that you can never find when you need it, but is everywhere otherwise; it took us some time. But after the pleasantries and a stint of downloading LOST we continued on our merry way to see a roman villa deep in the countryside.

The villa was an enormous home from around 400AD, and had all the furnishings of a wealthy roman aristocratic family, including hot baths and central heating for the entire house! Most of which are luxuries even by today’s standards (but little more than a few walls, pillars and mosaics now).

Later that afternoon we ventured into Wales, much less adorable than the Cotswalds but interesting none-the-less. Bigwig the van has been getting the hippy shakes lately which has given us a growing concern for the engine mounts. We don’t look forward to talking to a mechanic tomorrow… Perhaps we are in for another "Hastings" experience.
