Jackson, WY - Bozeman, MT
Aug 24, 2007
After spending a week in Jackson, a late departure combined with a run northward through Yellowstone yields a pretty frustrating experience. Riding north, the Grand Teton NP with lakes below the range was gorgeous, but the traffic in Yellowstone along with the realization that I needed to make some time led to some of my most aggressive all time passing records, including a slow twenty(or so)-car pass to get past some Elk watchers and a 7-car pass at speed on a flat just because the opportunity was there and soon it wasn't going to be. Arriving late in Bozeman, my housemates and I almost immediately depart to hit the college house-party circuit, which was pretty hilarious. Good people and company, and fun to wander among the multitudes of early-semester college kids trying to figure out just what it was they were trying to figure out. A good mix and an entertaining evening.
