Very hot...very beautiful...Oregon like Washington, is a desert this side of the mountains. Then as we went further East....and up..up...up....trees started to be present by 3200 feet and then full evergreen forests showed up by 4000' and above. We stayed at Emigrant State Park. Just a sleep stop and ate some locally grown watermenlon..excellent! leaving tomorrow for "THE KNUCKLE OF OREGON"
